“I own a Yamaha AW4416, and being an old machine eventually the clock chip battery runs out. I took it to Real Electronics who had a go at fixing it, and when I got it home and turned it on, the problem was still there. They immediate thought was to check these reviews and there were some negative reviews which got me worried I’d been conned, so I called up in a bad mood asking what’s going on and why n earth wasn’t it tested before signing it off as fixed etc. However, they were very apologetic and apparently these chips are all N.O.S these days and have sat in shelves for a decade or more and some have lost their charge. They were very helpful because they were doing a delivery of keyboards they’d refurbished in my area and offered to pick my unit back up from me and try again. The second time they managed to follow a method online where you carefully cut the battery out of the chip and replace it. I then picked it up once complete and it’s been working great ever since, which is about 8 months now I’d say. I wanted to leave it a while before I posted a review just to make sure. But I think they’re a good company from my experience because there’s alot of nuances with all these old electronics and sometimes things don’t go to plan but they went the extra mile and did their research and I rate that. Will use again”

“I first became aware of the totally professional service that Real Electronics provides when I visited them for work purposes relating to audio amplifier repairs and saw that they could actually do proper fault finding and repairs rather than just swapping modules, as so many other companies do. Several years later in 2023 my Sony Vaio laptop was getting ‘tired’ and I asked RE for a quote to replace the hard drive with an SSD. They quickly gave me a very reasonable quote and advised the best way to get the machine to them. Once they received it they confirmed that they could do the job, gave me a final quote and then emailed to let me know that the job was done. I paid by bank transfer and the laptop arrived by courier a couple of days later. New drive installed, Windows 10 re-installed, and everything works perfectly. Can’t recommend these guys highly enough – talk to them about all sorts of electronics repairs, they can probably help.”

Original problem wasn’t sorted.
They rang me after a review that I left.
They had my decks back again and all I can say is that they are amazing and 99% perfect,let’s not forget they are over 20 years old,so that’s that 1%

“Real Electronics is valuable service all audiophiles and musicians need to know of. I found them after looking for Markbass authorised repairs in the UK to repair my tube 800 series. Real Electronics are those people.

I emailed a query and got a lovely response from Lauren, who through the whole process was very communicative and resolved any questions I had. Lauren also kept me up to date with everything I needed to do and what they would do in return. All very transparent, thorough and reassuring.

So I sent off my 15 year old workhorse amp for some much needed TLC. Within 2 days of Real Electronics receiving the amp they had tested it and established the issue, (thank you engineers). From there I got a clear break down of price and next steps from Lauren.

Once it was repaired, return courier was arranged, I paid what I think was very reasonable for their time and parts. Then the amp was sent back. Lauren also checked to make sure I was able to receive it or if a specific date would suit. It was back in my possession in under a week. The return packaging was fantastic and delivered as described. I tested it instantly and it was back to normal, and considerably cleaner than it was, physically.
